The office of Brian Congleton, architect, has been providing architectural services for the central coast of California since 1984, designing commercial and office projects, community service agencies, multifamily housing and renovation of existing properties. Since 1995, Congleton Architect has been actively involved in the Fort Ord base reuse effort, providing campus master plans and designs for Goodwill Industries, Golden Gate University, Fort Ord Reuse Authority, and Marina Coast Water District.

Design Team
Brian Congleton received his Bachelor of Architecture Degree from the University of Colorado in 1970, and was licensed in Colorado in 1974. In 1985, Congleton relocated his office to the Monterey Peninsula of California. Congleton has supplemented his architectural practice with community involvement, serving on the following boards:
  • Carmel Planning Commission (1990-1993)
  • Carmel Design Traditions Committee (1998-2002)
  • Carmel Area Wastewater District (1995-2002)
  • Economic Development Commission (1996-1999)
  • American Institute of Architects (1987-present)
  • Co-chair - AIAMB Concepts International Competition for Housing for Monterey County (2001-2004)
  • AIAMB Chapter President, 2004.
Graciela Arcena-Perez is a native of Bolivia and an architect in that country. She became a US Citizen in 1994. Graciela joined Congleton Architect in 1993, and is currently studying for her California Architectural exams.

Desmond Alves comes from the island of Trinidad by way of Brooklyn, NY. He is a Bachelor of Architecture graduate of the University of Oklahoma, also preparing of his California Architectural Exams. He joined Congleton Architect in 2004.

Jennifer Absher is a native of Hollister, CA. She is our Business Office Manager.
